Employer Relations: Employer Toolkit
As a follow-up to the 2000 employer needs assessment survey, Taking on Diabetes and the Employers’ Managed Health Care Association (MHCA) will develop a chronic care toolkit for large employers. The first module will focus on diabetes, but the models and tools themselves will be designed for adaptability and replicability in other chronic conditions including asthma and cardiovascular complications. The toolkit will address issues including pharmacy, benefit design, formularies, self-management, worksite education and outreach programs. It will be available in 2001.
